Day 38: Every Day I'm Hustlin'

Well guys, here is my big news for the week. Starting next week, I will be a waitress again. I am not necessarily looking forward to this... but we need this, financially. We had hoped that with hubby's income alone we would be okay. I am still writing articles, and subbing at the school, but we still need that little bit more; ESPECIALLY with the holidays coming up!
So on Sunday I went up to a little restaurant a few blocks from my house. It was the first place I ever worked. I was there for nearly four years, and worked my way up to a manager before I left to pursue my career in veterinary medicine.
I was in luck. They were looking to add someone to the morning shift, which was what I worked before. I took the test (you have to memorize the menu and prices) and was thrilled to realize that I still remembered most of it.
The hours will fit perfectly for me. I will be able to work between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, so I will still get a good bit of time at home, and won't miss out on time with the kids. In the past I usually worked about 4 days out of the week, so I will still be able to take some assignments with the school as a sub. What's more, I will still have time in the evenings and on the weekends to work on articles and the blog.
So really, it's a win/win. Not that I want to be a waitress again... but it's something I know that I am good at, it's close to home (walking distance!) and I'll have cash in my hand every day. This will be good for us :)
Things don't always work out the way we plan. Shit happens, y'all. But when it all hits the fan, and the panic subsides, you just gotta adapt, overcome, regroup, and move on. There isn't anything that I wouldn't do for my family, or my kids. Just another adventure :)
Hustle hard, mamas and dads !!
Positive Vibes,
Stacy (WW)
